The APA (advance provisioning allowance) is usually equivalent to 30% of the Charter Fee, depending on the Charterer’s preferences regarding the itinerary and additional activities. The APA is an obligatory extra given to the Captain before the start of your charter.

It is intended to cover the operating expenses of a charter, such as: fuel, food and drinks, port fees, national and nature park entrance fees, customs fees and charter licenses for cruising outside of Croatian waters, and other costs for services requested by the Charter Party during the charter.

If the expenditure during the charter exceeds the sum already paid, additional cash funds will be required and should be settled before disembarkment. Any remaining credit at the end of your charter will be reimbursed to you in full.

As in all service industries, gratuity for the crew is not included in the Charter Fee. The industry standard is 5-15% of the base Charter Fee, given at the Charterer’s discretion.
